Shed

The garden shed measures 12' x 20'. It has stud walls with no-maintenance siding on top of a masonry foundation wall. The floor is poured concrete and the roof is metal.

4' Overhang

The 4-foot roof overhang on the north side of the shed is a good spot to store wheelbarrows, other garden equipment, square bales of hay, or firewood. During market-gardening operations, I set up an out door wash station here. The pic on the left shows the area in the off season; on the right, the hops have gone sproing to create a shade wall for morning veggie processing.

Inside the Shed

The inside of the shed has workbenches on either side, with a peg-board-style tool rack above the bench on the north side. The shed has multiple shelves at various heights—lower for more often used items; higher for lesser used items. The window at the back helps provide cross-ventilation and ambient lighting. The building has electrical outlets and switched lights.
