Starring: Robert De Niro, Billy Crystal

Movie Review: Robert De Niro has played plenty of scary tough-guys in the movies, but here he's a funny tough-guy—and he expects youse to laugh. Beyond intimidation, the movie actually DOES make you laugh—plenty. Funnyman Crystal is practically the straight man in this comedy, which has De Niro's mob boss suffering from inexplicable panic attacks and bouts of severe emotional distress, all of which is taking its toll on his ability to do his best at extorting people, whacking guys, and doing all of the other mobby things a good mafia boss takes care of everyday. The reluctant shrink (Crystal) is hired to help De Niro overcome the psychosis, but it proves to be challenge getting the tough-guy to accept the fact that he actually has feelings, let alone helping him get in touch with them. A looming mob war gives enough complexity to the plot that the action keeps percolating and the movie stays funny throughout.
