“She's a Rainbow” – The Rolling Stones . . . from the album Their Satanic Majesties Request |
|
|
She comes in colors ev'rywhere;
She combs her hair,
She's like a rainbow...
Coming, colors in the air,
Oh, everywhere,
She comes in colors...

Album Review: Their Satanic Majesties Request may not be Mic Jagger's favorite Stones album—he's said so—but it is nonetheless a masterpiece of pop psychedelia. "She's a Rainbow" was the hit off the album, but the rest is a treasure as well. It blends the Stones' innate pop sensibilities with "music for flower children," all of it floating 10 miles above the surface of our consciousness. Other standout tracks include "Sing This All Together," "Citadel," and the most-excellent "2000 Light Years from Home." Tune in, turn on.
